The Black Sheep: Life On Marsh

The Black Sheep are a power trio playing foot-stompin', driving blues from Gary Moore and Dr Feelgood to Howlin' Wolf and Etta James, along with our own original material.

Neil Roberts (guitar/vocals) Peter West (drums) and John 'Barney' Barnes (bass) are also joined for part of each set by guest singer Ellie

Our album Life On Marsh - featuring 10 original tracks including Wrong Tree, Baby and Black Dog Boogie - reached No 33 in IBBA's national blues chart and is described as 'a damn fine album indeed' by Blues Matters magazine.

Its reviewer Toby Ornott added: 'Pay attention to the lyrics that lay atop the chunky, and rhythmic music and you will indeed be pleased. I do recommend this to your ears."

The track Monopoly was voted runner-up Best Song of 2015 in the Doc's Blues Awards on Severn FM Radio.

Presenter Dr Wart Hoover said: "I didn't like to say too much until the results were announced, but "Monopoly" was my fave song of the year... it is more infectious than the sicknes bug that got our family over the last few days.
